Our Community — Conoce a Julia Stern, nuestra auxiliar de conversación
En el IES Ataulfo Argenta comenzamos una nueva serie llamada Our Community, un espacio donde conocer mejor a las personas que forman parte de la vida del centro y que hacen que nuestro día a día sea más enriquecedor. En esta primera entrada, tenemos el placer de presentaros a Julia Stern, nuestra maravillosa auxiliar de conversación de este curso.
Julia is our language assistant this year. She arrived in Castro last October and will stay with us until June. She’s helping us improve our spoken English and showing us what her country is like. Originally from Boston, USA, she attended Swarthmore College in Philadelphia, where she graduated with degrees in Biology and Environmental Education. Before attending university, she travelled around Europe and the United States, which allowed her to learn about new cultures and improve her language skills. She has lived in Colorado, Washington, California, Copenhagen, and Samoa, and has studied Spanish, Danish, and Samoan. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time in nature. In the future, she plans to teach Environmental Education and obtain her PHD in Biological Studies.
We are delighted to welcome her to our school and wish her a wonderful year with us!
